  International Professional Exchange Programme "Clerkship"  
 

“Clerkship” is a clinical or preclinical professional exchange programme abroad, four weeks long, for medical students.
During this period, the student receives free lodging and free boarding (1 meal per day) and, daily attend a medical department with the possibility of studying different overtures to the medical activity and to the doctor’s profession, and using, often, different instruments and technics from his own country.
The everyday life, out of the department, is stimulated by cohabitation with other students of different nationalities, by meeting new people, by cultures contacts, by learning a new language and by visits and excursions in the spare time.

 

“Clerkship” is an amazing and unforgettable experience, personally, culturally and professionally, that offer to visit new countries all around the world, to meet new people, to create new feelings and new friends, to understand several cultures and to live a different medical and university system, thanks to I.F.M.S.A., present in over than 50 countries all around the world. In fact, here in Italy, in Napoli, you can meet people from your home country, from your own continent and from everywhere else I.F.M.S.A. is present!
I particular we give hospitality to medical students from Australia, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Quebec, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Ghana, Japan, United Kingdom, Greece, Israel, Kuwait, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Mexico, Norway, The Netherlands, Catalonia, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, United States, Sudan, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Hungary, Yugoslavia.

The Exchange Programme is ruled by national and international laws stipulated in the SCOPE (Standing Committee On Professional Exchange) and is managed by NEOs (National Exchange Officer) and LEOs (Local Exchange Officer).

NEOs co-order all the LEOs, and they are LEOs’ representatives in the National Council, in international relationship they maintain terms with foreign NEOs to manage the Exchange Programme and to make it easier in all the aspects.
Twice a year, the NEOs participate to the I.F.M.S.A. General Assembly to plan Exchange Programmes and to represent their own countries of the SCOPE.

The LEOs grant the Exchange Programme in their own university, introducing Clerkship to the students, organizing the competition, collecting documents, having relationships with the NEO and managing the Incoming Students.
